Do you already have plans for Halloween day and night with your friends or family? Are you going to a costume party ? Although in Spain we don’t reach the level of the United States in terms of celebrating this day, at Frenchiemania we love the night of the living dead and witches because we have a great time dressing up and having fun with our friends, which is not a bad thing from time to time.
did you know that Halloween has been celebrated for over 3,000 years by the Celts ? They were a warrior people who inhabited areas of Ireland, England, Scotland and France. Later, with European immigration to the United States, it reached the American continent and has gradually spread worldwide. When we talk about Halloween, we think of costumes, makeup, horror movies, parties and candy .
And why not celebrate it with your French bulldog by doing something fun and different? Frenchie lovers are always looking for an occasion to have fun with them and this could be a great day. There is less than a week left until the big day, and that is why we have decided to share some ideas for original and fun plans to spend a scary but also funny day with your Frenchies.
Halloween plans with your French Bulldog
#1 Scary costume photo shoot with your Frenchie

You’ll surely love taking photos of your French bulldog with fun accessories, as they are a great keepsake to share with your friends, family and other Frenchie fans, and the best thing of all is that Frenchies, also known as the clowns of the canine world, let you do anything.
You can make do with some things you have at home like garlands, accessories from your costumes from other years or if you are more handy you can get to work with cardboard and other craft materials . If you are creative, you will surely come up with a great costume.
You can also go to a pet store that sells Halloween costumes for dogs , although it is not always easy to find them, or on an online pet costume website, and as a last resort, go to the nearest Chinese store and buy all kinds of accessories such as devil horns, a wig, a witch’s hat, pumpkins or spider webs.
Dress up your Frenchie in different outfits of devil, ghost, zombie, witch, bat, skeleton, Dracula , etc. and have a photo shoot, you’re sure to have a great time! You can take photos with him or her, or as a family like the famous “Addams family”. And if you feel like it, send us the result so we can share it on our social media pages. After the photo shoot, if you also go dressed up, you can take a walk with your Frenchie in costume, you’re sure to catch everyone’s attention hehe!
#2 Trick or treat

Trick or treat is the classic Halloween activity in which children and teenagers go around the houses in their neighborhood dressed up, asking for candy or playing pranks. Can you imagine knocking on your neighbors ‘ doors to ask for a slice of ham or a cookie for your French bulldog ? Why not? If you are an extrovert, you will surely dare to do it and if you get together with more friends with dogs who dare to dress up their dogs, you will laugh a lot, and surely your neighbors, except for those who do not like dogs very much, will too, hehe! However, refrain from passing by neighbors’ houses who hate animals in general, because you can get scared!
#3 Express Scary Cookies for Your French Bulldog

Another fun plan for this day is to bake some delicious cookies for your French bulldog with Halloween motifs , such as skulls, bones, pumpkins, bats …. In any pastry shop they have molds with all kinds of shapes, and you are sure to find some original ones at this time of year. You can look for different recipes but if you want to prepare them that same day, we recommend this recipe for express cookies in the microwave because they are very easy and quick to make:
INGREDIENTS
100 grams of wheat flour (preferably whole wheat).
100 grams of oat flakes.
200 grams of chicken or beef fillet (can be leftovers from a stew, as long as they do not contain bones or excess fat).
1 egg.
PREPARATION
Beat the egg in a bowl.
Add the shredded or chopped meat and mix well.
Add the oat flakes and flour and continue mixing until a homogeneous dough is formed.
Roll out the dough and shape the cookies to your liking.
Place them on a plate and cover with a microwave-safe lid.
Cook them at 600/800 degrees for 5/6 minutes.
When they are ready, let them cool and voila.
We don’t think he’ll be too scared of them, but he’ll definitely be licking his lips , and it’s a good excuse to cook something different for your Frenchie on a special day.
#4 Scary frenchie movie
How about making a mini-movie or a short horror film with your French bulldog ? If you also like recording videos and making montages , your Frenchie can be the star of your horror movie . Dress up your Frenchie, decorate your house in a terrifying room, create a scene and prepare a gymkhana with scary tests and scares for your Frenchie. This video can give you some ideas, and it will be a Frenchie Halloween movie to remember hehe! If nothing else, you will have a great time!
#5 Scary party with your neighborhood dogs

Why not organize a Halloween party at home with your friends and their dogs dressed up ? There are a lot of parties on this date, but we don’t think they’ll let you bring your French bulldog into a club, so it’s a better idea to celebrate at home. Prepare your costumes, send out invitations to your friends with mandatory scary attire, prepare some snacks, decorate your house, choose some good music and enjoy! Your party will surely be the best costume party for both furry and human beings, much better than an exclusive party.
